You must try the chopped salad. Amazing! This one of my favorite go to restaurants for a dinner that just hits the spot. You can exspect prices to average between $15 To $25 a person. Entree + salad= mouthwatering experience
This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! It's one of my top five favorite places to eat in the area. The atmosphere is very nice, inviting, and relaxing. The food is GREAT! You are sure to enjoy any selection from their generous menu options. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the calamari appetizer. Not only is it very good, but you are given so much that it is almost a meal in itself. The selection of wines is very good should you like a glass with your meal. The service is exceptional every time we dine here. We have never had to ask our server for anything. They are always on top of the game; exceeding what would be reasonable expectations from your server. The largest tip I have ever left was matched at this restaurant. My wife and I have NO complaints whatsoever, we can only give our highest praise to Gallo's. The restaurant is very nice; the food is terrific; the service is exceptional; and all of this at VERY REASONABLE PRICES! If you want a fine, authentic Italian meal, in a very nice setting, then Gallo's is the place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!...
Great food, not the usual, friendly and attentive service. Large portions, expect to bring a box home.
The food itself was pretty good. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with a pancetta on top at lunch. The french fries that it came with for very tasty too, they have a light dusting of Parmesan cheese on them and it made for very good treat.
Nicely decorated in an ancient Rome theme with large hewn columns and painted cracks in the wall. I would describe this place as elegant and would go for a special event, anniversary, birthday, etc.
Food. 12 oz Ribeye was cooked exactly to medium rare as ordered and the highlight of the meal was the zucchini. Delicious. The appetizers were well liked, especially the fried ravioli, not as much the Gorgonzola chips. The meatballs in the spaghetti are huge. The lobster bisque is good and a large sized portion, 10 oz.
Then the food itself took over a half hour to come to us. This is way too long for a lunchtime. Especially in a restaurant that wasn't that busy. The food that we had was a cheese tortellini, and the grilled chicken sandwich. Two things that should not take that long. I don't know what was going on in the kitchen, but it definitely left something to be desired.
Luckily we weren't in a hurry, but if we would have been this might have been problematic. I would try this place again, as the food was good. I just might try it at another time of day.
Excellent food and always great service. Visit here often when we are in camping season. Never had a bad meal here. Carry out for pizzas has always been excellent and staff very helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone.
What left something to be desired is the service. I had the feeling that my waitress was new, just because of the way she acted, so this may just be that one experience. She didn't come back and check on us regularly, and didn't ask if we needed refills. At one point in time I had to request a refill, and it took her upwards of five minutes to bring me more tea.
Consensus on the uniquely plated and eye appealing mashed potatoes was that they were cold and tasteless. We all took them home to season and lightly fry for breakfast as potato cakes.
We had a party of 8 so was not expecting expedient service. The beers were long in coming but nicely filled to the rim. The food took 30 minutes and smaller orders were served before ours. Our waiter was very attentive and cleared the dishes and took orders as he went.
