I was in Friday and I'm so happy. I have to say really great people and very professional. They are all very knowledgeable. Nate the store manager helped me out. My cat started having an upset stomach so I was concerned. Nate helped me by explaining what could be wrong with my kitty. After speaking with him I'm sure it is what I'm feeding. So I bought a bag of food and some treats that help her stomach. It's now Monday and this is the first time in two months my kitty hasn't thrown up. I know it's only been three days, but I'm confident that the problem is solved. Thank you Nate and PetValu for helping my kitty.
I honestly can not believe how this company stays in business. There were 3 young people standing behind the counter, talking about when they were going to be able to have a break, but do you think one of them even bothered to step away for two seconds to see if anyone needed help? No. I can't believe someone who wasn't even working is talking about when they are going to get a break, especially right in front of a lot of customers. This store was busy when I entered it with my dog, and I even made them aware that my dog had a small accident on their floor. I thought ,without hesitation, that one of them would handed me a rag or went to get a mop. Nope!! I guess they were more worried about the clock and when their break was suppose to happen. I would also like to bring up that I thought the aisles were a bit narrow and filled with items on the floor. I don't know what PetValu's idea on clean cages are, but maybe they should hire people in there that will actually take the time to clean them... js. Prices were a tad bit high for their dog toys. $12.99 for something my dog will have torn up in 3 days? I'll go to Big Lots where they are marked down to $3.00. I'll never step foot in here again.
One Star for attention... I love this store... Well most of it. The tall guy and Emily I believe her name is are amazing. Beyond helpful at all times. Very entertaining to talk to always so positive. But the the manager always just seems to talk bad or mean to all employees like they are way under his level. He's very helpful tho he did help me switch dog foods to a healthier selection. He does seem either drunk or under the influence of something when I'm in the store. But other than that some of the employees seems kinda lost at times. If it wasn't for Emily and the taller guy codey I think is his name I wouldn't be a regular. I still need a rewards card tho. Hope this was helpful
I came in last Monday because my puppy was having some problems with her coat. The manager and assistant ( Nate and Cory ) informed me that it could have been an allergic reaction to the food I had been feeding. Well after listening to them explain nutrition to me they help me switch to a this performance in house brand. And I'm already seeing a difference in her beautiful coat. They were so helpful and very funny made it very easy to understand. The knowledge they have is amazing Thank guys so much of your reading this. :)
I am so happy to have a store like this in Richmond. The staff are so pleasant to speak with and very helpful. Since the new manager has been there the store looks a lot cleaner. It is a delight to go in there every week. The manager trys to help out everyone even if he is swamped with questions from employees and other customers. There does seem to be a lot of new employees and I think it is for the better. The manager is always coaching his team and he is very understanding. I wish I had a boss like him. The assistant managers are very helpful also. If I have a question that no one can answer the research and find the answer so I know you get exactly what you need.
