I was recently in the market for a mountain bike and my boyfriend was looking for some repair on his bike. We stopped by Cycling Warehouse before coming here. It was your typical overpriced, snobby bike shop. If you didn't want to buy a $700 bike, they didn't want to talk to you. My boyfriend left his bike here to be repaired. We decided to check out Ike's Bikes next. The guys working here are knowledgable and cool. I ended up buying a great used mountain bike here. They did a full check on it before I left and even changed the pedals for me. My boyfriend immediately went back to Cycling warehouse and picked up his bike to bring to Ike's to be repaired. The mechanic checked over the bike and told my boyfriend everything he suggested to fix/replace, along with the prices. We bought a car rack to take our bikes home with and they even showed us how to put it on the car. This is the only bike shop for me.
Fast and friendly. Fun to talk with and they know there job. I give them 4 out 5. They would have gotten all 5 if they were open on Mondays. We started to ride bike since we were kids.
Ikes bikes is the real deal--I brought my bike in here and they fixed everything that was wrong for a reasonable rate. And I left a changed man.
Also, the manager is a sweety pie.
Maybe get a little buck-wild at the end - just like their customer service.
